A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child is a 1989 American gothic slasher film directed by Stephen Hopkins and written by Leslie Bohem. It is the sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) and the fifth installment in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise.
