Civil War is a 2024 dystopian war-thriller film written and directed by Alex Garland, and starring Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, and Nick Offerman. Set during a second American civil war fought between a despotic federal government and secessionist movements, the plot follows a group of war journalists traveling from New York City to Washington, D.C., to interview the president of the United States before rebels take the capital city.
