Cliffhanger is a 1993 American action thriller film starring Sylvester Stallone as a mountain climber who becomes embroiled in the heist of a U.S. Treasury plane flying through the Rocky Mountains. It is directed by Renny Harlin and written by Stallone and Michael France. It also stars John Lithgow, Michael Rooker and Janine Turner.
