The Peacemaker is a 1997 American political action thriller film directed by Mimi Leder in her feature debut. Starring George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Marcel Iureș and Aleksandr Baluev, it was the first film distributed by DreamWorks Pictures. While the story takes place all over the world, it was shot primarily in Slovakia with some sequences filmed in New York City, Philadelphia and North Macedonia.
